Education

Rian Mantasa Salve Prastica is currently serving Indonesia as a lecturer, focusing on Water Resources Engineering. Master of Engineering from Universitas Indonesia (Cum-laude, Best Graduate in Water Resources Management program), Bachelor of Engineering from Universitas Sebelas Maret (Cum-laude, GPA 4.00).

Current Employment (2022 – now)

Assistant Professor at Polytechnic of Public Works, Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
He involved in Water Infrastructure Construction Technology Study Program. He started in the institution as civil servant candidate since March 2022.

Employment at Universitas Gadjah Mada (2018 – 2022)

He joined Civil Engineering Department to become a lecturer in the class at the beginning of 2019. As his passion for teaching, he was awarded 3rd best learning videos in his faculty in 2020 and created more than 10 MOOCs in the learning management system of Universitas Gadjah Mada. Rian Mantasa supervised groups in his department and lead them to be the winners in national championships. Starting March 2022, he moved to be an assistant professor track at Ministry of Public Works and Housing.

Research Area

His research fields are hydrology, hydraulic, numerical modelling, eco-hydraulic, hydrodynamic modelling, disaster management, and river restoration. Winner of Best Presenter in 4th International Conference on Climate Change 2019. Winner of Best Paper in Civil Engineering National Conference, Indonesia, 2017. An awardee of LPDP scholarship, Ministry of Finance, Indonesia, 2016 – 2018.
